The Mission of Love Charities, Inc. (MOLC) is a nonprofit human services organization that truly helps people in need. I have witnessed families from the area calling on the organization for food and clothes. One winter day, a family entered the nonprofit with young children. It was a bitter cold day in Prince George’s County and the young parents were in search of coats to keep their children warm. The youngest child showed up to the facility in pajamas and flipflops. It was heartbreaking. Thankfully, a donation of clothes from a local store had just arrived at MOLC.

The staff at MOLC is kind-hearted and can be relied upon to help people down-on-their-luck. The CEO, Deborah Martinez, immediately found coats, shoes, coloring books, and educational materials for the children that cold winter day. The family was offered a hot meal, ate, and left the place with full stomachs and weather appropriate attire.

In addition to helping families with food and clothing, the staff assists with paperwork for rent and utility support. Those in leadership consistently apply for grants to sustain the organization, so that they can continue to help the community they serve. The Mission of Love Charities is one that you can feel comfortable giving to because you know your money is going to help people in the community.
