I have been an enthusiastic supporter of One Spirit for years. One overarching reason is the diligent usage of resources to help the Oglala Lakota achieve better health, nutrition, and employment, instead of the way some charities use too many funds to support their infrastructure over their actual charitable work. Operated by a global network of volunteers facilitates wise use of donations to actually help the Lakota, through food, firewood, agricultural, and community programs that honor their unique culture. One Spirit created a youth center, the first buffalo processing facility on Pine Ridge, food pantries and distribution, and cultural support. One Spirit continues to grow and trive, and is a perfect example of a charity that does what it say---and very well.
