I had previously fostered a litter of puppies with another organization, and when it was time for them to be adopted, I had no idea where the puppies I had cared for all those weeks went. I decided to foster with the Fur-Angle foundation instead, and it was a completely different experience - for the better! They interviewed me, took a virtual tour of my home, and while a lengthy process, it reassured me that they really cared about their dogs. When I took in my first foster with them, Liko, I was nervous because she was so scared and didn't even want to come into our house. However, the people at the Fur-Angel Foundation are always available and answered my call and gave me tips on how to make her feel safe. Shortly thereafter, Liko seemed to break out of her shell and became a completely different dog! Soon, she was ready for adoption and I was able to meet her new family and feel confident that Liko was going to a good home. The Fur-Angel Foundation also does a trial period to ensure it is a good fit, and they get updates on their dogs as well! It made me feel so good to give Liko a temporary home to open up and be comfortable with people and other dogs, and even better to see how much her new family loved her and know she was going to a great home. Would highly recommend the Fur Angel Foundation to anyone wanting to foster and to families looking to adopt!
