Children's Cancer Connection provides so many great resources to kids and families affected by childhood cancer. Camps for oncology kids, siblings, families, teen events, and parent support are all offered free to cost for any family with an Iowa connection (even if they move out of state). Getting to see kids at camp being kids or playing on the new playground at the House in Johnston is amazing, especially knowing how much the kids and their families go through as part of their medical treatment.

I have worked with Children's Cancer Connection for years--as a volunteer, board member, and hospital provider caring for their children/families. The connections they help in caring for the entire family through their journey with childhood cancer is amazing. They support the kids and families from day one of diagnosis through the entire journey and beyond. Seeing the number of former campers that return to volunteer at camp speaks to their mission. I have met some truly amazing people working with this organization!

I have had the opportunity to interact with Children's Cancer Connection as a volunteer and medical provider. The programs that they provide for children and families affected by childhood cancer are top notch! Watching children at camp and other activities, seeing them receive Bravery Bucks and items from the Courage Store is so amazing!
