I got connected with U.S. Veterans' Rowing & Kayaking Foundation about 3-years ago when my dad introduced me to the founder. My dad and his wife were both volunteering helping injured and disabled program members on the east coast and they thought that I may enjoy the rewarding work to serve our military so I signed on gladly.
I now serve as the Vice-president and work with Paul-Stephen Varszegi, the CEO on the larger ambitious goals for our military Foundation. It's exciting work because we are now creating international military partnerships with NATO members and Paul spends a great deal of his time overseas planning international races, including our next international race in Krakow, Poland next May.
