Great people, doing a great job for the poorest in the US, the Oglala Lakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation. It's been an honor working with One Spirit for several yeats now, and a pleasure to observe the difference they are making. The Allen Youth Center and the Charging Buffalo slaughter house are two projects especially close to our heart.
The first brings not just help but also hope to the youngest, the only possibility to counter the downward spiral that results in too many children ending their own lives.
The second plays a double role: not only helps it provide the Lakota with healthy food to combat the diabetes epidemic, but it also stops the flow of scarce cash out of the reservation.
