U.S. Veterans' Rowing & Kayaking and its founder Paul Stephen Varszegi came to Györ, Hungary this past May to cohost the first international Military World Rowing & Kayaking Federation at the Györ Olympic Stadium.
It was my honor to meet US Veteran Rob Sanchas from Ryode Island who despite being blind, competed and won several Gold medals. I also had the pleasure to meet many members from the Polish military. It was a very exciting event that will build longterm friends among our international military allies through rowing and kayaking sports.
