I worked with Abrahamic Alliance, international (AAi) as a longtime volunteer, events co/leader, photographer, field gleaning scout, among other tasks. This is an organization that addresses minds, hearts, and souls. It unifies all the children of Abraham under one tent. It treats each one with the respect and the dignity they deserve.
However, the heart of AAi mission is service to our less fortunate siblings. This is carried out with utmost respect for their dignity and their personhood. From food preparation, to serving meals, to assembling hygiene kits for unhoused people, to gleaning fruits and vegetables for the food banks, to helping build shelters for the unsheltered, to assisting in blood drives, to fixing bikes for the unhoused, to in-depth-courses on loving people of other faiths, everything is done with loving care all sacred scriptures ask of all of us.
The amazing thing is that this is a very nimble organization that relies on volunteers: board of directors, single part-time staff, advisors, all managed by a very energetic, dedicated, and uniquely qualified Executive Director, Rod Cardoza.
