Review for Narrow Gate Foundation, Williamsport, TN, USA

Rating: 5 stars

A Narrow Gate grad who just earned his master's degree told me, "You have to understand who you're created to be before you can decide what you need to do." We were talking about making decisions about college. This is so true! How often do we ask an 18-year-old, "What are you going to be?" or "Where are you going to college?" or "What are you going to major in?"

At Narrow Gate Lodge, young men focus on two very different questions, "Who am I?" and "Why am I here?" You get the answers to those right, and everything else begins to fall in place. There is no cookie-cutter approach at Narrow Gate. The grads go on to be professionally successful in every field. But what is most consistent among them is a caring, others-first orientation and profound wisdom about who they are and who God is.

There is no requirement to be a follower of Christ to come to Narrow Gate. Unbelievers and young men from all different religious backgrounds are welcome, but they come with the understanding they will be exploring what the Bible says as part of the curriculm. Many guys who come to Narrow Gate have grown up in church but say the way things are taught at Narrow Gate and what they discover when they study the Scriptures for themselves is more relevant and life-changing than anything they ever learned before.

Narrow Gate is the chance of a lifetime. I have the privilege of sharing the stories of the young men who come through Narrow Gate Lodge. I wish there were room to share each one of them here. If you know a young man searching for direction, you should tell him about it. If you're a young man between 18 and 25, find out if this is for you.
