The past year and a half has been difficult for many people due to the pandemic. But for some of us with parents living in nursing homes it has been extra hard. For close to a year I was unable to visit my father due to Covid restrictions. Then in February of this year my father Took a turn for the worse and his health declined rapidly. After not seeing him for an entire year I had to say goodbye to him over the phone. It was a heartbreaking day and one of the hardest I’ve ever had. Elizabeth from elevating hope was incredibly caring and helpful in talking to me and helping me work through my grief and the stress and depression that came with losing my father. I am eternally grateful for her thoughtful words and uplifting personality. The pandemic and everything that comes with it has made it so easy for people to spiral down into depression but in part by talking with Elizabeth and following her advice I was able to get through this and keep moving forward.
