Review for Four Paws To Freedom, Rancho Cordova, CA, USA
I served in the USAF, in a nuclear laboratory as a Chemistry Technician 1965-1970. I was contaminated with ionizing radiation in an "Incident" in 1970. A few years later I developed a large brain tumor. After four neurosurgeries over three years I lost a lot of neurological abilities. When I could no longer safely walk, the Master Trainer of the founder of this group provided me a Standard Poodle and three years of training to develop a Guide Dog. That dog saved my life and restored a quality of life I had lost during my military service.
Review for RRUFF Rocklin Residents Unite For Fido, Rocklin, CA, USA
I am a disabled American veteran. I am blind and deaf on my left side, the left lateral aspect of my cerebellum is gone, and the left side of my brain stem is damaged. The result is disabilities with vision, hearing, mobility and balance. In 2010 I got a service dog to assist me. That restored a quality of life I lost in the service to my country. I have been involved with this non-profit since its foundation. I have trained with, helped with the training of veterans, and watched the Master Trainer create miracles with dogs and disabled veterans. This truly is a non-profit that gives to the community unconditionally.
