Review for Home Port Alliance for the USS New Jersey, Inc., Camden, NJ, USA
The Battleship New Jersey served in more wars (4) than any other ship of any kind in the USA. It has been successfully broadcasting the importance of this ship to the winning of peace during its 48 year history since docking in Camden on Veterans Day 1999. Volunteers have been utilizing various skills to keep the battleship in suitable condition so that hundreds of docents can conduct tours throughout the day and during the encampments at night. Young boys and girls, as well as numerous adults have learned important facts about our country that they would otherwise never learn.
