Review for CRRC of Canyon Lake Inc, Canyon Lake, TX, USA
My husband and I moved to Texas January 2008 and did not know a soul. Our first week here, I was introduced to CRRC via the Recreation Center. Since that very first day, I've felt like I belong to something wonderful...a resource that has given me a brand-new Texas identity. Not only has the Recreation Center provided me with the healthy physical benefit of aerobic exercise 3 mornings a week, but just as importantly, it has provided me with a social network. I've developed a passion for line-dancing! I can be found at the Recreation Center literally 5 days a week taking part in one activity or another! The centers' director, Kristi Broadway, has an enthusiasm that is contagious, and a passion for seniors like no one I have ever known. I have developed wonderful friendships, and the prayers and loving fellowship of those friends helped me get through some really tough medical problems and maintain a positive attitude. You can literally feel the love when you walk into that buiding!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
developing a healthier lifestyle through exercise, and developing friendships through activities that provide a social network and busy lifestyle. Retirement should not be about sitting around waiting to die -- it should be about joy, and staying active... it should be about learning to live -- and that's what CRRC has done for me!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
promote the activities even more, holding up CRRC as an example of the positive influence an organization can have on a community!
