I've been with SWB-Baltimore since the summer of 2019 and have been blown away by the dedication, impact, and sense of community within the organization. I've had the opportunity to coach participants from pre-K to 8th grade in fall and spring seasons, along with summer programming. At the end of every season, I'm always so impressed with how far the participants have come. Not only do I see tremendous growth in their soccer skills, but I see even more growth in their English levels and overall self confidence. One of my favorite things about SWB is how they are cultivating participants into leaders. I loved seeing the high schoolers become coaches during the summer and take on the responsibility of teaching the younger ones.
Beyond the participants, it's easy to see that the staff gives 110% to this organization. Their love for the program is infectious and is shown in the tight-knit community they've created. I've enjoyed every second of my time and can't recommend it enough!
