Review for Mobility Worldwide, Columbia, MO, USA

I have worked with this organization since they were incorporated in 2004. In that time they have helped establish more than a dozen new production shops of the PET mobility device, gathered more distribution partners (NGOs), and facilitated many shipments of PETs around the world.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

personally attending their annual meetings. They host workshops to help their own board and the volunteers of the local production shops grow in their business and PET knowledge.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find more volunteers across the US to help them present the story and fundriase to help get more PETs built and shipped around the world.

Role:  Volunteer & I first helped by being a temporary recording secretary and then became their board treasurer. I also help host the annual meetings and give out information, etc. to the attendees.

Review for Pet Missouri - Columbia Inc, Columbia, MO, USA

I have volunteered with this non-profit for 11 years. They have grown and stayed true to their mission of providing mobility especially to those most in need of a rugged device in rough, rural areas. They are almost entirely operated by volunteers and their overhead costs are at only 10%. They not only provide a specific need of mobility, but they also offer a great opportunity for retirees to share their skills at welding, metal working and woodworking. And many others help with assembly, boxing, loading, office work, etc. PET MO-Columbia keeps in regular communication with their volunteers, donors, vendors, and distribution partners.

I attended a dinner in 2010 where missionaries reported on the distribution of the PET mobility devices in Chad, Africa.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

want them to have more volunteers to spend time on presentations or finding new funding sources to build more PET devices.
