I have known about One Spirit since 2015. I am in awe of the work and mission of this organization. This organization is necessary and essential. One Spirit seeks to promote Lakota culture and the autonomy of the people of Pine Ridge. One Spirit offers meaningful projects that assist the community while valuing the beautiful traditions and heritage of the Lakota people. Moreover, I am honored to work with One Spirit with my high school students. One Spirit has offered high school students in other parts of the country the chance to learn more about Lakota culture. From the Buffalo House, to the youth center, to many initiatives and employment opportunities, One Spirit is a valuable non profit organization in this country.
