Review for Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA, Burlingame, CA, USA
Peninsula Humane is top notch! Team members are friendly, courteous, helpful and go above and beyond to help their community and communities around them. PHS often pulls underage foster kittens from local municipal shelters, who otherwise might not have the resources to care for those babies, and in turn provides necessary veterinary care, spay/neuter, and microchip identification for a low adoption fee. The Pick of the Litter location provides donation-based pet food and litter to low income families. The team consists of volunteers and PHS staff, all of whom work hard to make sure each individual receives a warm welcome and supplies to better care for their pets when times are tough. I couldn’t be any happier with service experience and community resources offered.

PHS does wonders for the community through outreach, education, rescue, and providing community members support to care for their pets. I’ve had the opportunity to recommend their services to many people, before using them myself. PHS has been able to aid and care for many orphaned neonatal kittens, provide medical and get them into foster, no questions asked. They are super supportive, friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand. I recently needed to use their food pantry due to financial hardship and was welcomed by two of the nicest people. Being a first timer, I was nervous and wasn’t certain of where to go, who to talk to, where to park etc, but PHS staff were very kind and made the process really easy for me. I had a great experience and appreciate the effort they made to make me feel comfortable and welcomed.
