Review for Paws For Seniors, Toms Brook, VA, USA
Back in 2017, I was told that I had to have a service animal due to some medical issues I had going on. I had met both Brenda and Jim before as they'd loaned us dogs for shows so we could advertise their adoptions as well, so I immediately reached out and told them what I was hoping to find in a dog. They told me of a sweet little dog, Honey, who fit the majority of what I was looking for (she was smaller than I had personally wanted and she was also not hypoallergenic, both of these things were super low on my list of wants though, so that didn't matter). They told me she was going to her foster parents the next day, so if I wanted to see her, I needed to come that day. This was at 4pm. So, I immediately dropped everything and drove out there to meet Honey. Brenda and Jim were so incredibly accommodating for me and let me meet all the dogs (not just Honey). Where the animals were was so nice and clean, and you could tell they truly loved them. I was there for several hours with all the dogs, and ended up convinced that Honey was my new companion. Here I am, almost 4 years later, still with Honey, and loving every minute of her company. She is the best dog ever and I never would have found her without Paws for Seniors and the amazing work they do. And whenever someone tells me of their desire to adopt a dog, I am quick to recommend them to Paws for Seniors too! I am forever grateful!
