Review for Save An Angel, Bastrop, TX, USA
In June I found a very young kitten in the parking lot at the gym I go to--no mom, siblings, or people anywhere nearby. So, I took her home as I have many other stray and feral cats I've found in the rural small town I live in. Since I do fix and rehome/release cats on a semi-regular basis, I always take them to low cost clinics for their procedure and vaccines. I've experienced a handful of other organizations, but this was my first time using Save An Angel. I was surprised how quick and easy it was to make an appointment online and get her in. In my past experience, sometimes I've had to wait months for an opening. They were also very patient and understanding about rescheduling us because she was still too young/small the first time I tried to bring her in. All the paperwork could be done online in advance, and the reminders were thorough and helpful. Dropping her off and picking her up was SUCH A BREEZE! Again, with other organizations I've used, I'm used to waiting an hour (plus) to get checked in, it's usually fairly chaotic--this was the complete opposite! As a very Type A person, I was extremely impressed at the efficient systems they've developed to get all the pets checked in as smoothly as possible. Everyone we encountered was super friendly, present, and knowledgeable--I felt this sweet little kitten was in great hands! They were also able to educate me on deworming her--I had not given her the correct over the counter medication for the type of worms she had, so they provided the correct medicine and detailed instructions on how to administer it at home. Really could not have been a better experience! And, after all these cats and kittens I've rehomed, this one has made a mark and is staying with our family--we love Wednesday (our kitty's name) and all the folks at Save An Angel!
