As a strong believer in “effective altruism,” I learned about Fistula Foundation through Peter Singer’s organization, The Life You Can Save, which evaluates and recommends a small number of highly effective and efficient charities around the world, based on demonstrated methods and metrics. Fistula Foundation is proven a leader in addressing a huge injustice and tragedy rooted in gender inequality and poverty. I’ve been a monthly donor for years and plan to continue investing in this organization’s great work.
