I support Literacy Network because their programs help adult learners develop their skills in ways that benefit learner's families and their communities for generations. Whether they are learning English as a second language, studying for their citizenship, or obtaining their GED, Literacy Network students display perseverance, openness, and resilience that brings so much good into this world.

As a board member I have had the privilege to see the staff and volunteers at work, and have been awed at how resourceful and diligent they are in finding creative ways to support adult learners when they may need assistance. In normal circumstances this is helping learners to continue their lessons while juggling the demands of jobs, family, and overcoming learning challenges. But during the pandemic this quickly broadened to include health education, access to resources for food and housing security, and equipment and education so that students could continue lessons virtually. This team is laser-focused on the needs of learners and it shows in what the learners are able to achieve.
