Review for Florida Association of Public Health Nurses, Inc., Fort Lauderdale, FL, USA
The FAPHN organization has had for it's mission the focus of advancing public health nursing. Public health nursing has a long and rich history and the citizens and visitors of our state benefit from what we do! I have been a Board member for several years and served as President for one year. What a great experience and opportunity to meet colleagues not only in nursing but in other areas that support public health. I have liked the disaster preparedness and response and the maternal child health side of public health. Young nurses who choose this path would be greatly rewarded in satisfaction of doing a "greater good".
