Unfortunately, societal, state legislative and congressional attention is not what it should be when it comes to gun violence. In a year of record-breaking violence that also impacts officers at a significate rate, some states are making it too easy to obtain a weapon, pre-cluding any semblance of an investigation.

One would've thought by now that since events like Sandy Hook, our 'pro-life,' righteous nation on a hill would've adequately addressed gun violence.

We can, we have and we must. Organizations like Sandy Hook Promise help ensure that at least some attention stays where it's needed.
