Review for Joy of Motion Dance Center, Washington, DC, USA
I started out as a dancer with this organization, and gradually was introduced to all the wonderful work JOMDC is doing to build communities that dance in the Washington DC area. JOM works in the DC public schools, in all kinds of arts venues, and fulfills the motto of "Dance is for Everyone" with dancers of all ages, sizes and ability levels! I am proud to be a Board member, and I continue to dance with JOM, and support its programs.

My own life. I had the recent experience of serving at a shelter, which I have done in the past. It is always satisfying, even though the interaction with residents is minimal. This time, my experience of dancing with JOM gave me the moxie to begin to dance with the residents. What began as a "service project" ended as a joyous holiday party with residents and servers dancing and singing together. I have never been involved in anything quite like it.

Review for Operation Understanding DC, Washington, DC, USA
My daughter is a member of Class 17, and I recently spoke with a parent from Class 1, who said that OUDC was central to her son's entire high school experience and in some ways made him the person he is today. My daughter is so excited and amazed at how open the kids are and how quickly they connected. I am thrilled with the beginning of this program, and can't wait to watch it unfold. What an opportunity for these kids, and what an opportunity to change the world! Thank you, OUDC!
