Review for Trees, Water & People, Fort Collins, CO, USA
It is a pleasure to have been a volunteer in many different capacities for over 10 years for Trees, Water and People. I have assisted in local reforestation efforts and multiple fundraising activities. The organization's staff are truly caring individuals who work toward their mission of improving people's lives by protecting and appropriate utilization of our natural resources. Their Tribal Lands Renewable Energy Program helps their communities heat their homes and protect their lands thru sustainable, economically beneficial and economically friendly programs in North and South Dakota. TWP has assisted people in Central America and Haiti to healthier lives and more ecological use of their limited resources by building and providing more efficient stoves. And there are even more programs funded by TWP through efficient use of their non-profit funds. I'm proud to assist this organization and proud that they are based in my Fort Collins community!

I've seen the results of local fundraising which assisted our local schools wiith procuring and installing solar panels to reduce cost and be more ecological. I've seen the great results of local reforestation projects in wetlands and nature areas.

I know there are always ways for people and organizations to work more efficiently. But from the projects I've seen and read about that have been accomplished by this relatively small organization, I think they are doing an excellent job of utilizing their funds efficiently and continually improving their many programs--and all with heart and caring! If anything--they need to 'toot their own horn' a bit more--there are still many local people unaware of this awesome organization and their good deeds.
