My Nonprofit Reviews

I discovered the Travis Manion Foundation during a shadowing experience in their Philadelphia office and I was immediately inspired by the work they do. While I am not directly involved in the US Military myself, my grandfather served in the Army for most of his life, so growing up I was always reminded of the importance of our military, as well as the challenges that they face that might remain unknown to American citizens. TMF has done a tremendous job educating our youth about these challenges by using our very own veterans and their stories. Personally, I feel like my involvement with this organization has made me a better person by teaching me resilience & deepening my desire to help people. I got involved with TMF right before the pandemic so I haven't been able to attend any in person events yet, but I am so excited to do so this fall. My mentors in this organization so far have been nothing but helpful and supportive as I learn more about the nonprofit world and I look forward to volunteering with TMF for years to come!
