PCUN, Oregon's Farmworker Union, has partnered with Oregon Environmental Council over the last two years on issues related to climate and public health. Their partnership was instrumental in our state adopting the strongest standards to protect workers from excessive heat and wildfire smoke. OEC brings technical climate expertise to our shared advocacy efforts while having an intersectional lens on public health, worker safety, and environmental justice. Their staff is friendly, accessible, and a joy to work with. We look forward to our ongoing partnership with OEC.

OEC staff have been such a pleasure to work with since joining a partner organization of theirs. I came in new to the environmental justice field and their staff was very supportive in catching me up to speed. We work closely on improving protections for workers exposed to extreme weather conditions. Throughout this process, they have been collaborative, thoughtful, and dependable.
