As a Commissioner on the Fayette County Board of Commissioners (Georgia), we were having severe issues with overcrowding in our county Animal Shelter.

Euthanizations were up and we could not find enough residents to become pet owners. There was also a shortage of dog and cat foster homes. We needed a viable long-term solution.

Our prayers were answered when Royal Animal Refuge came on the scene. They have been an exceptional community partner.

Not only was the county shelter able to off-load the over-crowding, but Royal Animal Refuge also took excellent care of the dogs in their care.

Volunteers at the non-profit give the dogs loving attention and work to make them into adoptable pets for local families.

It is truly been a privilege to work with Royal Animal Refuge and we are indebted to them for their service to our community.
