I donate to Yellow Ribbon Fund because they provide valuable and necessary services to wounded, ill, and injured American service members and their families that were not available to my family back in the Vietnam War era. From personal experience, I understand the financial burden of receiving follow-up medical treatment (the medical services may be free but once I became a veteran, any temporary lodging and travel cost for myself or my family became my financial responsibility). Even the smallest donations make a difference in the lives of our post-9/11 service members and families as they try to recover from the results of their sacrifice in the military service of the United States of America.
