In the past years I have made frequent trips to Odessa, Ukraine. I was so happy to see the improvements made in the lives of the children over the years. It was very rewarding to be able to help the children with their present needs, and to support UAC in the children's future lives.
It was wonderful, also, to help the children with vision problems receive glasses for the first time. We were even able, one year, to buy hot water heaters ,so that the children and staff could take hot baths and washing their hands with hot, soapy water.
There is always a need for more improvement in the orphanages. UAC helps tremendously with the upgrading of these orphanages and helping to buy the kids shoes, clothes, underwear, toilet paper, soaps, etc. Donations are always welcomed. I feel blessed to have gone so many times to volunteer there. Linda Terry
