Review for The Sato Project, Brooklyn, NY, USA
I have had the absolute best experience adopting my doggo Helga from The Sato Project. The adoption application was clear but thorough. Throughout the entire process - from the very start, to having my girl for almost a year now - the organization's volunteers have been available every step of the way at any hour. After years of disease and neglect, at the ripe age of ~8 years old, Helga finally found a home where she's treated like every animal deserves to be, all thanks to The Sato Project.
Review for The Sato Project, Brooklyn, NY, USA
Hello! I adopted my first doggo from The Sato Project organization this year. The individuals working there couldn't have been more attentive, knowledgeable, or excited about their mission to care for the street dogs (satos) of Puerto Rico. They thoroughly vetted my partner and I (no pun intended) to ensure than their dog was going to a good home, as well as fully disclosed all her medical details (such as pre-existing health conditions and illnesses) for full transparency. They provided ample guidance for post-adoption concerns and have set up a social media group for adopters that’s extremely active daily. The work they do on the island of PR (such as providing veterinary medical care to those who cannot afford it or have otherwise not been able to partake in it) is as ambitious and needed as that which they do on the mainland. I couldn’t think of a better experience than that which I had with this non-profit!
