The staff and students of the Kingstown Government School in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are very grateful to have received books from Hands Across the Sea. This donation comprised of resource books as well as a variety of books from different genres which are of interest to our girls as well as our boys. We have seen more students reading as there are books at different grade levels to allow students to feel comfortable reading and achieving success. The books also provide a wide choice for students to complete their book reports for CPEA and assist us in achieving our goal of having students read at or above their grade level. Some parents have expressed their delight in seeing their child who was struggling achieve some measure of success in reading. Our school was a shelter following the eruption of La Soufriere volcano and we were able to loan books to some of the children to pass their time meaningfully as well as to help them psycho-socially. Thank you Hands Across the Sea! May God continue to bless you so you can be a blessing to others.
