Review for Travis Manion Foundation, Doylestown, PA, USA
We are 180 Degree Farm, a nonprofit organization that grows organic food for cancer patients in our community. We donate organically grown food to those in need of healthy, clean food but do not have the financial means to change their lifestyle. Many of these patients are or were in the military.
We have been blessed to have two major projects completed at the farm by The Travis Manion Foundation this year. The first project was in February. The TMF team was a so positive and energetic, focused on helping us feed more cancer patients in our community. They built (10) 32’ x 4’ raised beds and filled them with soil. This will help us grow up to 10k lbs more organic veggies per year and will have a tremendous impact on cancer patients in our community.
They came back to the farm later this year and built two decks. These decks will be used as a retreat for cancer patients, allowing them to enjoy the farm from a shaded area, taking in the sites and sounds. This is a mental and emotional escape, which our patients desperately need.
We are so grateful for the generosity and love from this amazing organization. I can’t say enough about TMF and the wonderful people who work there. We have made friends for life and the impact of these two projects will be felt for many years!
