I have volunteered for the Shepherd's Center - Webster/Kirkwood providing technology tutoring to older adults for a few years. It has been a very rewarding experience to teach people how to connect with their family or use their phone or tablet in helpful ways to make their lives easier. I have seen what a difference it can make, especially in this unprecedented time of isolation and loneliness. In February 2021, I joined the team to help with part time administrative and program duties. I was so impressed with the wide variety of services and programs available. From transportation and handyman services to exercise and educational enrichment, we truly have a positive impact on our client's lives. I am so honored and humbled to be working with such an incredible group of dedicated staff and volunteers, all working to enrich the lives of seniors in our community and throughout the United States.
