Review for High Fives Nonprofit Foundation, Truckee, CA, USA
The High Fives Non-Profit Foundation is truly one of a kind, and provides opportunities like no other to individuals like myself!

At the age of 18, I attended a local motocross race that would change my life forever. While trying to make a pass on my best friend for the lead, we collided in mid-air over a jump. We both came crashing to the ground. As best friends we competed to be better than one another at everything…including crashing. I won this battle as he was uninjured in the crash, whereas I had broken my T5 and T6 vertebrae, stretched my spinal cord, collapsed both lungs, suffered severe internal bleeding, and was paralyzed from the chest down.

On August 27, 2016, I married the girl of my dreams, who I believe I would have never met had I not been put on such a wild adventure exactly 10 years before.

Motocross has made me who I am today, given me the true meaning of life, given me a lifetime of memories, and has inspired me to inspire others. My wife, Britani, has been by my side day in and day for everything from simply getting dressed in the morning to chasing my wildest dreams - yet she has never seen me stand or take a step, let alone ride a dirt bike...UNTIL now.
The High Fives Non-Profit Foundation has provided not only the opportunity for me to ride motocross again using an adaptive bike, but also to share this experience with my wife on our 5-year wedding anniversary, which just happens to be 15 years exactly to the day of when this journey all began in 2006.
High Fives is a dedicated group of individuals who not only bring inspiration, hope, and happiness - they truly make dreams come true, and words cannot express how thankful I am for all that they do.
