I'm a current donor and a former employee of Oregon Environmental Council. OEC is a fantastic organization, composed of some of the finest people I will ever meet. Its mission is a difficult thing to fit into a convenient soundbite, but I believe it fills a less obvious, incredibly important role in environmental advocacy. OEC works largely in the background, putting in the time and effort to shape legislation in order to realize a safer, more sustainable, and just Oregon for all. Over the past 50 years, it has quietly contributed to many of the laws that we now take for granted, and I expect and hope that it will continue to do so for the next 50 and beyond.
