Review for Hearts That Purr Feline Guardians, Tucson, AZ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have volunteered at HTP for 2 years and also foster a senior cat from HTP. It has been such a positive experience to spend time with the senior cats there. Knowing that they are all so well cared for in every way is a wonderful feeling. All the cats are given the best care one could imagine - an impeccably clean and spacious home, fresh water and food, and the best in medical care should they need it. Each feline resident has interaction with the staff and volunteers multiple times daily, when they can enjoy petting, brushing, and lap-lounging. Jeanmarie and Becky do an amazing job to keep everything running smoothly, with each feline's well-being always the top priority. The detailed medical care given to each cat in need is something you wish you could have for an elderly family member. I personally get so much more from volunteering at HTP than I could ever give back, and each day that I am privileged to volunteer there is a "win" for me.

Review for Hearts That Purr Feline Guardians, Tucson, AZ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I found out about Hearts That Purr last year and started to volunteer there, in order to have interaction with felines after I had lost my own cat the year before. I immediately recognized that this is a very special place, probably unlike any other senior cat sanctuary. The facility is uncrowded, homey, and impeccable, and the senior cat residents are given the best care imaginable. They are treated like you would want any beloved family member treated - human or feline. Everyone I have met there (staff and volunteers) show the utmost care and compassion for the feline residents and go out of their way to make the feline residents' lives comfortable.
After several months of volunteering, I accepted one of the senior cats into my home to foster. I have had Desiree for about a year now and can't believe how much she has enriched my life. I enjoy her presence in my home so much.
There are no words to describe how much Jean-Marie (President) and Becky (Feline Wellness Director) do on a daily basis to make Hearts That Purr such an amazing experience for the senior cats and the people who have loved them, for the fortunate volunteers who are privileged to spend time there, and the community involved in all aspects of senior feline care.
