I have been a volunteer with Shadow Cats (SCR) for over 12 years. I became acquainted when I came upon two feral kittens hanging around a fast food place. Concerned for them, but unable to capture, I asked a friend who could I get to help. She responded to contact Sheila Smith at Shadow Cats. A trapper assisted, and we were able to get one kitten ( the other was gone) and have it TNR’d. It ended up going home with the fast food manager who had fed the kitten and tamed it with kindness.
I was so impressed with the caring and promptness of response. As I learned more about the Rescue, I wanted to be a part of it. Their mission and the actions they took to fulfill their goals were spot on. The money received has always gone for the welfare of the cats. I’m proud to be a part of Shadow Cats.
