I have been following the story of one particular horse whose story touched my heart. So much so that I made a point to visit the sanctuary when I was in California from out of state. Esta and her volunteers obviously love the horses and work hard to make their lives better. The horses' health and wellbeing come first, always. Even thought we are ready and willing to adopt a rescue, they are committed to restoring his health before they let him go.
