Review for Long Beach Depot For Creative ReUse, Long Beach, CA, USA
The Long Beach Depot for Creative ReUse provides a wonderful service to the community of Long Beach. If you are in any way an arts and crafts person, a teacher, or if you believe in the practice of reusing rather than wasting materials, then this is your store. The store owner Lisa Hernandez is such a delightful person and on a personal level, I am very thankful to her for the inspiration and support she gives me as a contributing artist. "The Depot" is a shining example of a business that has set out to do good in the community while connecting artists and local businesses together! The store sells all sorts of things that can be used in arts and crafts projects and they rely on the support of the community. The Depot also offers classes on the weekends geared towards teaching children about creative reuse. This is truly a special place!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
the artist community in Long Beach.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
It would be wonderful for The Depot to have more sponsors who can provide financial support. Us artists buying corks and fabric scraps for $0.03 each only adds up to so much. This is such a wonderful idea in the works that I also would love to see more stores like The Depot, and any special attention that would focus on Lisa & Yoshino's efforts. Oprah, are you listening? :)
