Read all reviews below and see that some would be adopters have had very disappointing experiences with the Joshua Fund and were left feeling hurt, puzzled, and put off by this organization.

We had a weird experience with them. We filled out their lengthy application, sent required photos, and went through two lengthy telephone interviews. We are both employed and financially secure, work at home, have a fenced yard space, are physically active, and well experienced, reliable dog owners. We had excellent recommenders and references. We were turned down by the Joshua Fund Rescue without any reason being given, leaving us mystified and with a bad taste in our mouths. This seems like a competent organization, but one that has a kind of mysterious internal set of standards that ordinary, mortal would be adopters can only guess at and may well not meet. Strange, discouraging experience.
