I have been sponsoring a child for about five years now. She is 17 now and in Indonesia. I have not heard a WORD from her for 16 months. One.word. I have written many times and reached out to this organization many times to ask what is going on and what they are doing with COVID and they literally send me a copy/paste (the text was different in the email so I could clearly tell it was a copy/paste response, which tells me everything I need to know right there) of what they (claim) they are doing BUT the "development centers are closed" so what exactly are they really doing with my money? For sixteen + months? I had to cancel my sponsorship simply because I had no idea if they were using this for my child, or for beer money. That should NEVER be the case. Communication should have been much better and we feel badly ending our sponsorship and if I knew that the money was indeed going to her then we would have continued. But it does beg the question if the "development centers" are closed , how exactly are they providing education, medical care, food etc?
