I'm in my 8th year of tutoring with Reading Partners North Texas. I became a Reading Partners tutor after volunteering as a mentor in a local elementary school. As a mentor, I learned that most of the 3rd-5th grade students in this school were reading at a K level, so it was clear that they needed reading tutoring more than mentoring. I sought a tutoring program to join, and found Reading Partners.
