I have been helping with the Society of St. Andrew in Virginia's northern Shenandoah Valley for close to 30 years now. SoSA has been wonderful community partner to many food banks in our area as well as in Loudoun County, Alexandria, Arlington, Washington DC and Page County. Many hungry people are blessed by SoSA's gleaning efforts to provide nourishing fresh produce. Their partnership with area farmers and orchardists are making a difference in our community. In these days of equity and inclusion, I can honestly say that SoSA has always been an organization that worked to help anyone who was hungry, regardless of any societal labels that are placed on people. SoSA has blessed my life by allowing me to be a part of their tremendous work in feeding the hungry.
