Review for Sarah Lynn Strohman Foundation, , PA, USA
I am proud to say that I have been involved with this foundation since its inception, in September 2008. At first, we didn't know anything about setting up and running a foundation - but we learned quickly!
In spite of the many obstacles Sarah faced during her brief time with us, her character, personality, and determination carried her through. An impressive little package; she literally stopped people in their tracks and impelled them to take notice.
I believe that our foundation picked up right where Sarah left off. Here we are, just barely into our third year, and we have caught your attention!

Our Emotional Support Program is currently operating two divisions: Elmo's for Sarah - supplies Elmo dolls to first responders who can then provide them to children who are in crisis situations. Elmo was a comfort to Sarah and we believe that 'Hugs Heal Hearts' Comfort & Care - supplies hand-made, fleece blankets to adults with special needs who are in the hospital and hand-made lap blankets for the caregivers who sit at their side.

Encourage its growth! Our goal is to bridge the gap that is created when federal, state, and local providers cannot meet the unique needs of individuals with special needs. We need funds to grow - and volunteers to help us with our work.
