BCH is more than just a non-profit organization. It is a support group that reaches out to people suffering with cancer, to come in terms with their illness by learning about their condition while realizing the importance of reaching out for early detection. I noticed this early on while volunteering as a research scholar for Dr. Lopa. My experience with this corporation enabled me to realize that advocacy can come in many forms and it is needed by individuals who come across cancer and are not aware of the available resources. BCH is equipped with the necessary knowledge through collaborations with multiple healthcare professionals. I encourage those who come across BCH, either as a family member of a person with cancer, or an individual with cancer, or even laymen to join this organization as it sticks to its sole purpose of serving the community by spreading awareness and enabling people to take control of their health.
