Review for Music In The Schools, San Antonio, TX, USA
The Edgewood Fine Arts Academy Mariachi was selected to perform at the Sunset Station in the US ARMY and MUSIC IN THE SCHOOLS Mariachi and Drum Corp Contest on Friday January 7, 2011 at 6:00 PM. We arrived at 4:00 PM and were escorted to have a dinner lunch of delicious turkey and cheese sandwiches with chips and drinks. After that we were escorted to see the US ARMY exhibits in front of the Alamodome. The students all got free backpacks, caps, pedometers, and water bottles. Some students even climbed the rock wall, rode the helicopter simulators and did pushups for a football prize. Then it was time to get dressed for the contest. We were number 5 in the line up. We got on stage and performed our 3 songs. We also got to see the other groups perform. Although we came in last we were vey appreciative to the people of Music in the Schools and the US Army because we had a GREAT time! All the people with Music in the Schools and the US Army were super friendly and helpful to us. We look forward to participate again next year!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
This was our first time participating in the Mariachi Contest. We enjoyed the whole time we were at the Sunset Station Contest site as well as the US Army exhibits!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would like to have a Certificate of Participation to hang or diplay in our school. While we took pictures a certificate shows we were at the event.
