REEF gets people involved with the documentation and preservation of marine habitats. With a great volunteer program to document fish and invertebrate species seen at dive sites, REEF has created a trove of data on species diversity and distribution. The REEF database can be queried by anyone and is a great tool in open-sourcing data on marine life.
