My 4-year old son died in my arms early one morning. Hope Floats was there for me when I needed them. I attended a parents support group while my surviving son attended their "Mike's Club" children's grief group. I then moved to their "Dad's only" peer support group, which I still attend. Even during the pandemic lockdown, they continued their support groups via zoom, including having a regular 1:1 check-in for my son. My son also has special needs and Hope Floats are comfortable working with him in a way he understands. All the people in my groups have been through a similar experience to myself and can relate. I would recommend their services to anyone who has lost a loved one, and is in need of support.
