As a client of Hope Floats I have been blessed to be able to participate in individual and group grief counselling sessions as well as rejuvenating yoga classes. The counselors at Hope Floats provided support to me and my children after the death of my husband. They provided a welcoming and safe environment for each of us to discuss our grief.
I also attended a group program for people that had lost a spouse/partner. Although emotionally difficult at times, it was extremely helpful to work through situations with a group of people that truly understood my situation. The program lead had also experienced the loss of a spouse. He was very helpful in sharing his experiences and providing a setting where each person could participate as little/much as they felt able on that day.
I have also taken a number of the wellness yoga classes, and love the experience and relaxing periods.
